Animal Handling Tube
The way that you pick up laboratory mice influences their stress, longer-term anxiety and in turn the reliability in scientific testing. Picking of mice by the tail induces negative responses whereas picking them up in a tunnel on the hand reduces stress and anxiety and results in animals that are much more willing to interact voluntarily. Mice are quick to habituate to tunnel handling and the experience becomes much less stressful for animal and as well as handler.
